Boeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking a highly talented and motivated Principal Electrical Systems Design & Analysis Engineer (Level 5) to join the team in Everett, WA.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking an ideal candidate to play a pivotal role in defining and integrating electrical systems across our commercial airplane fleet. This position involves analyzing and translating requirements into comprehensive system architecture, hardware, software, and interface specifications. You will collaborate with a global supply base to develop system components and validate designs through rigorous laboratory and in-flight testing. Your work will span the entire product lifecycle of airplane systems, from initial concept through certification and delivery. At Boeing, we are committed to continually advancing the state of the art in commercial air transport.
In this role, you may focus on various electrical subsystems, including generators, batteries, motor controllers, motors, power distribution, and more.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in Electrical Engineering.
  • 20+ years of experience in airplane systems certification.
  • 20+ years as a Boeing representative for the FAA.
  • 20+ years of experience with proximity sensing systems.
  • 6+ years as Lead Engineer for program development.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Familiarity with engineering processes and methods.
  • Experience with hardware and software design.
  • Experience with model based development tools.
  • Experience working with cross functional teams.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Knowledge of FAA / EASA certification.

SUMMARY PAY RANGE:

  • $153,850 - $208,150
