Requirements * Connecticut State School Building Leadership certification * Master’s degree in Education or a related field * Minimum of 3 years of experience in a school leadership role (e.g., Assistant Principal, Dean, Grade-Level Leader) required * At least 5 years of successful teaching experience * Proven track record of achievement and measurable results * Strong commitment to improving the quality of urban education, especially for historically underserved students Responsibilities * Provide visionary leadership and foster strong professional relationships within the school community, including the Board, staff, students, families, and external partners * Champion high academic and behavioral standards to ensure excellence in student achievement * Model and uphold a culture of high expectations, accountability, and professionalism * Lead policy development related to discipline, attendance, and student conduct * Guide faculty in curriculum planning and instructional best practices * Manage and ensure compliance with required reports to authorizers, funders, and regulatory agencies * Participate in the recruitment, mentoring, and development of staff * Supervise and evaluate instructional and support staff * Coordinate and support school-wide events and programs * Oversee building operations, including maintenance of facilities, equipment, and instructional materials * Ensure smooth and effective day-to-day school operations Compensation and Benefits * Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications. * Health Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision insurance. * Retirement: 403(b) retirement plan – Employer Match * Leave: Paid time off, paid sick leave, parental leave, and FMLA. * Additional Benefits: Short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, and $5,000 annual tuition reimbursement.
