Bayer Radiology is looking for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to participate in software design and development activities for Bayer Computed Tomography (CT) contrast injector systems. Working from our Rydalmere facility you will design and develop embedded software components and architectures as required by the product portfolio plan. The CT injector products developed in Rydalmere are sold in global markets, giving the opportunity to make a difference to patients’ lives and the work of health care professionals. Here, you’ll go beyond writing code — you’ll help shape life‑critical technology used by clinicians every day. This is a chance to work on complex, safety‑focused embedded systems at scale, collaborate with highly skilled multidisciplinary teams, and see your work deployed in hospitals around the world. Do something that moves you. Design and develop embedded software components to support medical device products. Deliver clean, high quality, robust and maintainable code. Develop and/or refine key algorithms used in medical device products including motor control and sensor control. Contribute to embedded software architecture design. Collaborate with local and international cross functional teams. Deploy good software engineering practices throughout the full developmental life cycle and adhere to medical device quality standards and software lifecycle processes. Mentor junior engineers in embedded software programming techniques Does this sound like you? Holding a Bachelor of Engineering in computing or equivalent technical field and significant embedded software development experience. Experience in medical devices or other regulated environments will be highly regarded. Advanced object-oriented design skills and advanced coding skills in C, C++ and Python. Exceptional troubleshooting skills. Extensive experience in embedded operating systems such as FreeRTOS/SafeRTOS or similar. Knowledge of electronic sensors and interfacing technologies. Strong written and interpersonal communication skills, with ability to work collaboratively in an agile team environment.
