  • Remuneration: $139,787 p.a to $161,662 p.a + super
  • Location: Currently Penrith, then onsite at Bradfield City Centre from mid-2024/ Hybrid working supported.

Delivering a state-of-the-art advanced manufacturing facility within the Bradfield City Centre, WPCA is building regional industrial activity and driving investment into the new city. The Advanced Manufacturing Research Facility (AMRF) team is currently seeking to appoint a Principal Engineer Additive Manufacturing role to be responsible for technical consultation and execution of industrial best practices and research with the AMRF additive manufacturing and materials inspection platforms.

Responsibilities
  • Doctorate in engineering, or related disciplines, or demonstrated, equivalent, relevant professional experience and training.
  • Experience developing large design of experiments for laser-based metal additive manufacturing process parameters in an industrial environment, preferably with aluminium and nickel alloy systems.
  • Demonstrated success in converting computational designs to tangible product through novel build preparation and laser assignment schedules.
  • Recognised as a leader in the field of Metal Additive Manufacturing with extensive knowledge and experience, delivering complex projects, and analysing complex issues that involve technical, financial, and other data sources.
  • Accustomed operating at a high level of proficiency with autonomy.
  • Uses initiative and be fully accountable for the delivery of high-quality projects on time and within budget.
  • Act independently to plan, lead, and organise work to deliver high quality support to the AMRF.
  • Achieve the agreed objectives and performance targets.
  • Have a consultative approach and ability to escalate issues on time
