We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented individual possessing robust technology skills with a strong background in audit or a keen understanding of the auditor’s mindset. They must demonstrate outstanding communication and project management abilities, coupled with a curious and critical thinking approach. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING…

Become a key player in elevating our high-performing Internal Audit department to best-in-class! Join our dynamic Professional Practices Group (PPG) and be instrumental in transforming the Internal Audit Department’s technological capabilities. As a Principal Engineer, you will focus on identifying and implementing process efficiencies, particularly through automation and the strategic use of AI, Google Cloud Platform, Google Workspace, and other tools. A key aspect of your work will involve developing robust dashboards and reports, providing critical, real-time insights to senior leadership for data-driven decision-making, and identifying opportunities to leverage AI to transform end-to-end processes by incorporating it into our audit methodology. This position requires the ability to quickly understand key pieces of the audit process and leverage deep technical expertise to innovate and optimize the audit lifecycle.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Leading the strategy, design, and implementation of innovative technological solutions to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Internal Audit department.
• Driving the development and maintenance of comprehensive departmental reporting and dashboards leveraging tools such as Looker, Tableau, Google App Scripts, and other supporting reporting tools providing critical insights into audit activities.
• Overseeing the identification, evaluation, and integration of new technologies, including AI, to automate and streamline end to end audit processes.
• Applying strong knowledge of technology infrastructure, including Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to support the management and development of custom AI tools.
• Utilizing expertise in programming languages such as SQL, Python, JavaScript, HTML and/or other languages and tools for development and analysis.
• Collaborating with audit teams to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements for reporting, automation, AI, and system enhancements.
• Developing and implementing best practices for data governance, data quality, and report generation within the Internal Audit function.
• Identifying opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains through technological innovation, including the strategic application of AI.
• Managing the full lifecycle of technology projects, from initial concept and requirements gathering to deployment, training, and ongoing support.
• Staying abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, particularly in AI, data analytics, and audit technology, to ensure the department remains at the forefront of innovation.
• Developing and delivering training programs to internal audit staff on new technologies, systems, and reporting tools.
