We’re currently seeking a senior engineer with extensive expertise in iron ore processing. The specific sectors of expertise we’re seeking include magnetic processes (low and high intensity), gravity separation (hydroclassifiers and spirals), concentrate drying and dewatering, flotation for production of high purity concentrates, bulk concentrate management, pelletizing, direct reduction processes and operational experience. Provide metallurgical expertise for all aspects of projects and studies, including EPCM projects Serve as a discipline lead for studies and supervise the work of junior and intermediate engineers Lead metallurgical tests and guide clients in developing their projects Perform due diligence audits and manage preliminary economic, prefeasibility and feasibility studies within multidisciplinary project teams Promote BBA expertise in the iron ore processing industry Liaise with clients on technical matters and professionally present reports, publications and briefings Design and simulate mineralogical processes Examine and approve mass balances, process design criteria, PFDs, P&IDs, layouts and technical specifications Lead and participate in market analyses for local and worldwide iron ore projects Prepare, review and approve professional qualifications, expressions of interest as well as proposals and service offerings Take on various interdisciplinary technical challenges to ensure factory acceptance tests and the implementation of optimization solutions for processes are performed on time, safely and cost effectively Review, analyze or develop PFDs, P&IDs, technical specifications and evaluations, material land energy balances and process design and operating parameters Assess, select and commission new technology to improve the sustainability, efficiency and profitability of client operations Do your qualities and values match our corporate culture? Entrepreneurial spirit Results-driven Thirst to learn and excel Willingness to work together while having fun Constantly seeking sustainable and agile solutions Rigour and ethical Overview Of Certifications And Job Requirements Bachelor’s or graduate degree in mineral processing, metallurgy, chemical engineering or mining At least 15 years of experience in mineral processing operations Strong track record of successfully completing projects in the mining and metals industry Qualified person as per CIM standards Ability to travel frequently across Canada and abroad (> 25 %) Canadian Professional engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligible to Advanced level of French and English to collaborate effectively with BBA offices and/or clients outside Québec.
