POSITION SUMMARY

CVS Health is recruiting for a Principal Engineer specializing in Cloud Automation Development. In this high-impact role, you are the Innovator & Problem-Solver who sees inefficiencies and immediately thinks, “How can I optimize and automate this?” You thrive on solving complex problems, leveraging cutting-edge technologies, and leading teams toward scalable, efficient solutions. Whether it’s Infrastructure as Code (IaC), cloud automation, or streamlining CI/CD pipelines, you don’t just implement solutions-you design them for the future. This role demands a visionary in automation who challenges conventional approaches and pioneers innovative solutions. You need to have a proven track record of building automation solutions from scratch. You’ll support driving and executing on automation strategy across cloud and hybrid environments while ensuring scalability, security, and continuous improvement in all such initiatives.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

The candidate will have a strong work ethic, be a self-starter, and be able to be highly productive in a dynamic, collaborative environment. This position offers broad exposure to cutting-edge automation technologies and significant interaction with all business leaders. The candidate will be expected to have the following key attributes:

  • 7+ years in automation, DevOps, and cloud engineering with proven practitioner level experience.
  • Proven experience leading projects and influencing automation strategies in large-scale environments.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certifications (Preferred): AWS/GCP/Azure Certified Engineer, Terraform Associate, Red Hat Certified Engineer demonstrating deep technical expertise.

EDUCATION

Education – Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
