A large Civil Engineering Contractor with a £134million turnover are looking for a Principal Engineer to oversee the design team and assist the Design Manager with structural, temporary works and geotechnical experience in Leeds. They’re looking for an experienced individual to work on projects within the tunnelling industry as well as above ground structures and large Infrastructure projects. They offer a variety of excellent work and lifestyle benefits, along with a competitive salary of up to £75,000 DOE.
The most successful Principal Engineer will be degree of CEng status with a minimum of 8 years’ experience capable of producing designs and checking of others work as well as management. The Principal Engineer will have expertise in underground structures / tunnelling temporary works and complex Infrastructure projects.

PRINCIPLE ENGINEER JOB REQUIREMENTS

• BEng or MEng level in Civil and/or Structural Engineering
• Chartership statue CEng with the ICE or IStructE
• 8 + years’ experience with expertise in underground structures / large Infrastructure projects
• Design consultancy environment.
• Technical skill with accomplished structural design skills and geotechnical knowledge
• Ability to help support, mentor and develop junior engineers within the team
• Sound knowledge with CDM H&S regulations.
• Excellent written English language and grammar
