JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Principal Engineer will use authoritative level experience and knowledge of Citrix based products and solutions, including Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) in an enterprise environment. The position requires a responsible, self-motivated, well-organized individual with the ability to handle multiple concurrent projects while adapting quickly to constantly evolving priorities.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Experience implementing and integrating complex enterprise level messaging and email, remote access, endpoint management, desktop deployment, and software distribution tools in environments with at least 50K desktops/end users including:
o O365 Communication and Collaboration technologies including Exchange, Lync/Skype, and SharePoint Online
o Active Directory, ADFS, AADC - structure and security related to OUs, GPOs, and user / group
o Remote Access Technologies maximising Citrix, VMWare, Aruba, and Big-IP
o Application / Software Deployment Management using standard packaging and deployment tools for both on-premise and cloud based environments
o Deep level of knowledge in application compatibilities and integrating dissimilar applications to a common platform
o 5+ years of demonstrated experience designing and integrating dissimilar messaging platforms
o 5+ years creating code-based solutions using Powershell, Python, or other similar languages used for automation using JSON, XML, and other similar standard formats
o Experience in an engineering capacity in an enterprise IT department
o Experience in project management of large IT initiativeExperience working with suppliers in an outsourced environment

Responsibilities
  • Define and maintain all aspects of the integration engineering process including service and product technical evaluation process, lab testing, and service solution design
  • Work closely with client Engineering Manager to ensure alignment with Enterprise Technology strategies, standards, and policies
  • Coordinate project timelines for engineering activities and client resources to ensure requirements are understood, dependencies are defined, and the engineered solution is documented and refined to be developed into a future offering
  • Communicating, project tracking, and status reporting to client leadership
  • Evaluates capabilities of services, products, and design solutions to deliver future service offering through detailed technical analysis
  • Provides feedback on engineered designs and adapts to accommodate environmental conditions
