Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Working closely with the Architect, this 12-month fixed term contract offers you the opportunity to take our Microsoft Azure platform to the next level with a market leading Insurer.
As a Principal Cloud Platform Engineer, you will be the technical leader responsible for driving and owning the Cloud platform within Azure. You will leverage your deep understanding of cloud technologies at an enterprise scale to build, maintain, and continuously improve the foundational platform that supports the development and delivery of business applications across Suncorp.
If you have an in-depth knowledge of Azure, and the Azure service offerings, as well as knowledge of security and IAM, and would like to work for an organisation that truly supports and values their employees, then this could be the role for you!

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Own the end-to-end design, implementation, and management of the Azure cloud platform.
  • Ensure the platform is robust, scalable, and secure to support enterprise-level applications.
  • Continuously evaluate and integrate new Azure services and features.
  • Define and drive the cloud strategy and roadmap for the organization.
  • Drive the automation of infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes.
  • Implement security best practices, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and compliance.
  • Lead the adoption and implementation of IaC using tools like Terraform and Azure Resource Manager.
