WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Toyota is looking for team members who are passionate about technology and interested in joining a collaborative and highly motivated team as a Principal Engineer – DevSecOps.
The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the integrity and security of TMNA’s applications and systems by defending against external threats. You will work in collaboration with cybersecurity experts to develop, maintain, and refine our cybersecurity policies, guidelines, and design patterns. Additionally, you’ll engage with technical teams to enforce these standards, address security gaps, and provide support for security remediation.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, the person in this role will join the Cloud Engineering & Software Development Support team to build and maintain secure, scalable, and resilient cloud infrastructure and systems.

  • Design and implement secure hybrid/cloud enterprise solutions that align with TMNA’s security standards, architectural patterns, and emerging threat landscape. This includes hands-on engineering across AWS, Azure, GCP, and Kubernetes environments, as well as guiding application and AI/ML teams on secure design.
  • Write and maintain clear, actionable security standards, guidelines, and reusable architectural patterns that support secure development across application, data, and AI/ML teams.
  • Develop comprehensive threat models for complex applications, communicating effectively with application teams to address and remediate vulnerabilities.
  • Establish, refine, and integrate security-related processes with engineering, DevOps, and data science teams.
  • Communicate effectively with diverse technical and non-technical stakeholders, helping teams understand vulnerabilities, implement remediations, and adopt security best practices.
