Job Description Key Responsibilities of the Team: Technical Ownership: Drive the development of complex embedded applications and reference designs using Renesas MCUs, with a focus on motor control, inverter, communication gateway, and other key automotive applications. Embedded Architecture and Firmware Expertise: Provide deep technical direction on low-level embedded programming, real-time operating systems, hardware abstraction layers, and system performance optimization. Customer and Ecosystem Enablement: Serve as a senior technical advisor to strategic automotive customers, supporting integration and deployment of MCU solutions within their systems. Marketing and Sales Support: Offer efficient technical assistance to our marketing and sales teams during design activities, ensuring successful implementation and integration. Provide technical training to FAE, Sales, partners, and customers. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with hardware and software teams to ensure cohesive, robust, and scalable solutions. Mentorship and Guidance: Mentor junior engineers and application teams, promoting knowledge sharing and technical excellence. Qualifications A degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar field of study. 8+ years of experience in embedded systems software development, ideally within the automotive domain. Deep knowledge of: Embedded processors and microcontroller architectures in automotive applications Embedded operating systems Automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet) Low-level embedded programming in C, and scripting with Python or equivalent Development, integration, and debugging of low-level drivers and firmware components, including hardware abstraction layers and related middleware Board-level design, circuit analysis, debugging with tools such as oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers Automated and system-level testing frameworks and methodologies Motivation to initiate and drive projects to completion with an open mind for working in an international environment. Good sense of understanding technical requirements and customer expectations Strong communication skills and the ability to represent technical solutions clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
