Role reports to: Sr Manager, Engineering & Automation Location: North America, United States, Pennsylvania, Fort Washington Work Location: Fully Onsite What you will do This position provides technical leadership and engineering support for the manufacturing plant, overseeing projects from concept through post-implementation. Responsibilities include developing scope, requirements, budgets, and timelines; managing equipment procurement, installation, and startup; and ensuring compliance with corporate and regulatory standards. The role serves as a recognized authority, driving strategic initiatives and delivering impactful engineering solutions. Key Responsibilities Ensure quality and compliance in all areas: Attend GMP training on the schedule designated for the role. Adhere to strict compliance with procedures applicable to the role. Exercise the highest level of integrity in the tasks performed. In a timely and prompt manner, identify reports and seek corrections for deviations noted in the workplace. Embrace the behavior of employee involvement and commitment to doing the job right the first time. Ensure training in the assigned curricula has been completed prior to execution. Act in accordance with current business conduct principles in all negotiations and activities within and outside the company to ensure these are met. Technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) responsible for leading Liquids Manufacturing engineering projects through all phases—from concept to post-implementation, following Good Engineering Practices and using process excellence tools to ensure timely delivery and milestone achievement. Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and project resources to meet objectives. Provide technical support for equipment design, manufacturing operations, and process improvement initiatives. Develop innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges that align with strategic business goals. Support troubleshooting of manufacturing process deviations as the equipment SME and participate in long- and short-term solutions to prevent recurrence. Author, review, and approve technical documentation including specifications, change controls, commissioning and qualification protocols and reports. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to ensure stakeholder alignment and project success. Mentor and guide junior engineers, serving as Subject Matter Expert. Required Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering required. 8+ years of engineering experience is required. Relevant experience in engineering, manufacturing, packaging, technical, and/or operations experience required. Knowledge of cGMPs and Good Documentation Practices required. Good leadership skills and team player is required. Good communication skills are required. Good MS Office knowledge required. Preferred Qualifications Discipline in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial or Electrical degree is preferred. Advanced degree preferred. Experience in pharmaceutical, liquid manufacturing, consumer or food industry preferred. Experience working in FDA/cGMP compliance environment preferred. Good knowledge of 6Sigma and Minitab, basic knowledge of Lean, Kepner-Tregoe/Ratio preferred. Certifications/Licenses: Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred. What’s in it for you Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges: $124,100.00 - $175,200.00 This takes into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate’s skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors.
