ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a Principal Engineer – Maintenance and Infrastructure to join our Advisory Division. The role is primarily responsible for providing consulting services to our clients and requires extensive experience in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Projects and Maintenance roles. Experience as a Project Manager or senior operational maintenance roles in the mining industry, financial modelling skills or in Lenders Engineering would be highly regarded.
The successful candidate will have on-site experience on mines in maintenance, mine infrastructure and/or projects, while prior exposure to a consulting environment would be advantageous.
This role will allow the successful candidate to rapidly gain experience across numerous studies and types of mining while working with a team of leading specialists in all aspects of the mining value chain. An interest in working on global projects and assignments is key to this role along with a willingness to collaborate with Clients and colleagues from varied cultural backgrounds.
This is a permanent, full-time role, preferably based out of our Perth office. Irregular domestic and international travel is a requirement of this role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Global consulting projects such as pre-feasibility studies, technical reports, due diligences and Lenders Engineering.
  • Ensure client requirements are adequately defined and recorded.
  • Verify the scope of work and deliver outcomes on time.
  • Develop qualified leads and follow up on potential opportunities.
  • Proposal planning and preparation.
  • Contribution to technical development within the company.
  • Working efficiently and effectively as a technical expert, Project Manager or Project Director as required.
  • Collaborating with clients from project kick-off to delivery, maintaining regular follow-up engagement.
  • Preparing and reviewing project reports as well as presenting key outcomes to clients.Maintaining a broad professional network within the mining industry to consolidate and expand RPM’s client relationships.
