JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking an accomplished and strategic Principal Engineer to lead and provide executive oversight for our business operations in geotechnical engineering. This role will be instrumental in driving the growth and success of our operations, working in close partnership with the executive management team to ensure alignment with our mission and long-term objectives.
The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of the technical aspects of these disciplines, coupled with a proven track record of identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, fostering strong client relationships, and spearheading market expansion initiatives. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape and grow our presence in a new market while upholding the highest standards of technical excellence and client service.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering; specialization in Geotechnical Engineering is highly desirable. A PhD is considered an additional asset.
  • Over 20 years of experience in the engineering industry, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of technical and operational aspects.
  • Proven track record in driving business growth through strategic client acquisition and development.
  • Leadership abilities with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Skilled in building relationships with clients, colleagues, and key stakeholders to foster collaboration.
  • Experience managing engineering teams, including project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and ensuring project execution.
  • Experience in business planning, organizational development, and operational management.
  • Experience navigating contract negotiations and managing risk in multidisciplinary projects.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a demonstrated ability to cultivate a culture focused on innovation, continuous improvement, and superior client service.
