Overview Savannah River Mission Completion is seeking a Principal Engineer to be based in our Aiken, SC location on the Savannah River Site. The Principal Engineer implements solutions to engineering challenges to meet standards set by the Department of Energy (DOE) for the Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC) project. Responsibilities Subject matter expert knowledge in multiple areas or in a highly specialized, critical area (recognized internally and externally). Demonstrates superior technical leadership. Extensive experience and demonstrated ability to apply, lead and/or develop unconventional principles, theories, concepts, and/or technologies. Integrates and implements new programs and/or operational best practices. Qualifications BS Degree in Engineering or select science disciplines with extensive professional engineering experience Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated ability to develop, champion, lead and execute highly complex scopes of work. Expert communication, facilitation and collaboration skills necessary to present, explain, influence and advise senior management and key stakeholders. About Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC), a prime contractor for the US Department of Energy, is responsible for managing the Department of Energy’s Savannah River Site’s Liquid Waste operations contract. Located in Aiken, South Carolina, SRMC is a limited liability company formed by nuclear operations and environmental remediation global leaders BWXT, Amentum, and Fluor.
