Description

As a member of the WLAN MAC firmware team, you will play a key role in the architecture definition, design, and development, of various protocols of the WiFi MAC layer as defined in the 802.11 standards family. In your new role you will: Design, development, and deployment of 802.11 MAC features (standard and proprietary) on Infineon’s WiFi chipsets. Work through solutions involving end-to-end silicon life cycles – architecture definition to solution delivery. Work with various cross functional teams including but not limited to host software, systems and RTL design teams. Analyse, debug and resolve all MAC issues that may be seen across different internal validation platforms and external customer platforms. You are best equipped for this task, if you have: Strong working knowledge of WiFi-6/6E and legacy protocols required. Experience designing WiFi features on embedded systems required. Strong experience in embedded firmware and C programming skills required. Experience working and debugging system-level issues in any wireless communication chipset is required. Familiarity with IEEE 802.11 standards is desirable. Working knowledge of WiFi-7 protocol is desirable. Working knowledge of TCP/IP protocol stack, and interfaces such as PCIe, SDIO, and USB is desirable.
