Our national environmental team is growing, and we're looking for a Principal Environmental Scientist to join our Adelaide office. This is an opportunity to step into a senior leadership role where your technical expertise, client insight, and mentoring ability will make a real impact. About the Role In this role, you'll play a key part in delivering contaminated land projects – providing project guidance, supporting clients, and mentoring our junior consultants. The position can be tailored to your strengths, whether you're a well-rounded generalist or bring specialist expertise in areas such as remediation, hydrogeology, risk assessment, or auditing. Key responsibilities include Leading and directing complex contaminated land projects Building and maintaining strong client relationships Providing technical leadership, input, and report reviews Mentoring and developing junior and mid-level staff Supporting national project delivery and collaboration Driving business development and proposal dev About You You're an experienced consultant who combines strong technical capability with leadership and commercial awareness. You enjoy working with clients, solving problems, and helping teams succeed. You will bring: A tertiary degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Environmental Management or related qualification 15+ years' experience in contaminated land or a related field Demonstrated ability to work directly with clients and other key stakeholders to ensure thorough environmental advice and successful project delivery Experience in a similar position Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong team player Experience in training and mentoring staff Strong commitment to workplace health and safety Why Fyfe?
