Your Role We’re looking for a Financial Risk & Governance Principal to join our Retail Insurance Australia (RIA) business. This role supports the Insurance & Financial Risk Executive Manager and contributes to the delivery of financial risk management and reporting across RIA. You’ll provide expert analysis and challenge across capital management, natural perils modelling, and reinsurance program design. You’ll work closely with actuarial, finance, and risk teams to ensure financial risk practices are robust, compliant and aligned with business strategy. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong financial acumen and insurance industry experience to influence outcomes, improve governance, and uplift financial risk capability across a complex portfolio. This is a permanent role, open to candidates based in Gadigal Country (Darling Park, Sydney), Naarm (Melbourne) and Meanjin (Brisbane). About You Ability to review, test, and challenge capital frameworks, reinsurance structures and natural perils allocations. Strong understanding of capital allocation, stress testing, and regulatory requirements. Ability to assess reinsurance programs for capital efficiency and risk transfer. Good understanding of financial risk frameworks, reporting, and regulatory obligations. Skilled in scenario analysis, data interpretation, and translating insights into recommendations.
