The Authority brings together a deep, multi-disciplinary capability inside the planning department — specialists in natural hazards, environment, heritage, water, transport and other disciplines — and delivers it to decision makers to help shape development outcomes across NSW. Joining the DCA presents a unique opportunity to help build and embed a new model for delivering technical input into the planning system, working alongside DCA's specialists to provide coordinated expert advice and decisions that shape housing, infrastructure and sustainable communities across the State.   The role This role leads complex, high‑priority reform projects that simplify and strengthen the policy and legislative frameworks the DCA operates within. You’ll take ideas from problem definition through to delivery, working closely with systems, policy and stakeholders to modernise planning practices, remove decision‑making barriers and improve development outcomes across NSW. Working in a fast‑moving, high‑profile environment, you’ll balance diverse stakeholder interests while driving system‑wide improvements that support housing priorities and long‑term reform.
