This role is for one of our clients Company Name: Sarga Consultants Industry: Staffing and Recruiting Seniority level: Mid-Senior level Min Experience: 9 years Location: Pune JobType: full-time \n \n ₹27,00,000 - ₹45,00,000 a year We are looking for a highly skilled Principal Hardware Architect to lead the end-to-end development of next-generation power and embedded electronics for aerospace and UAV platforms. This role demands deep expertise in high-reliability hardware design, power electronics, mixed-signal architecture, and compliance with defence-grade qualification standards. You will take full ownership of system-level hardware delivery—from concept and architecture to validation and production release. Key Responsibilities Own complete hardware lifecycle: define requirements, lead architecture, develop schematics, drive PCB design, prototype, validate, and transition products to manufacturing. Design mission-critical electronics including power conversion stages, BLDC motor drivers, battery management circuitry, high-speed sensor modules, and embedded compute boards. Engineer complex PCB architectures (10+ layers) involving controlled impedance, high-speed routing, differential signaling, power integrity, and thermal design. Ensure aerospace-grade robustness with qualification strategies aligned to MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-810, DO-160, or equivalent standards. Lead EMI/EMC planning and mitigation through design rules, component selection, grounding strategies, shielding, and enclosure-level filtering. Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, systems, and test engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and product reliability. Conduct design reviews, DFMEA, signal integrity analysis, thermal simulations, and validation testing to guarantee performance under extreme environments. Drive modular hardware platforms supporting multiple communication protocols (CAN, SPI, UART, RS485, Ethernet, USB, etc.) and sensor ecosystems. Act as a technical leader and mentor for the hardware engineering team, establishing best practices, design standards, and review processes. Required Technical Experience 8+ years of hands-on experience in power electronics, embedded hardware, or mixed-signal design for aerospace, defence, robotics, automotive, or ruggedized industrial products. Proven ability to design and deliver high-power electronics (motor controllers, DC-DC converters, power distribution units, etc.) with thermal and efficiency constraints. Strong command of EMI/EMC design considerations, signal integrity, grounding topologies, and system-level noise mitigation. Experience taking hardware products from prototype through certification to production. Deep understanding of closed-loop control, sensors, high-speed interfaces, and real-time embedded platforms.
