Principal ICT Project Manager Clerk Grade: 11/12 - $149,739 - $173,174 + super Employment Type: Temporary opportunity for 12 months Location: 4PSQ, McKell Gosford - Hybrid opportunity. In-office requirement 2-3 days a week as a minimum, which could be subject to change based on applicable DCS workplace policies. About the team Government Shared Services (GSS) is a new division in DCS that is leading the way in streamlining processes and transactional shared services to allow our people to better focus on their customers and delivering their services. We are developing and delivering a roadmap to leverage technology, streamline processes, replace legacy systems and deliver a consistent experience to more than 100+ agencies across 8 NSW Government Departments. About the role As the Principal Project Manager within the ICT Shared Services division of DCS, you will lead a diverse and high‑impact portfolio of complex ICT programs and projects. Working across internal DCS divisions and external government customers, you’ll play a critical role in delivering shared services that support essential public sector outcomes. You’ll bring together expert SMEs and cross‑functional ICT teams, providing strong leadership and direction to drive delivery excellence. With accountability for scope, schedule and budget, you’ll ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard - while navigating complexity, influencing stakeholders, and turning strategy into real‑world results. What you will do Lead and manage ICT project resourcing, internal and external vendors and project staff to deliver all key project/s milestones and outcomes. Manage and coordinate aspects of the project lifecycle, including planning, delivery, reporting, and closure. Engage with stakeholders to understand evolving business and technical requirements and following internal governance requirements. Continually monitor and evaluate the aspects of project implementation, including risk and contingency management. Provide expert advice and information to stakeholders on emerging project issues and present recommendations to support project delivery in line with established plans, budgets, timeframes, policy objectives and other project priorities About You The successful candidate must demonstrate strong capabilities in: Proven knowledge and experience in NSW Government procurement frameworks, documentation, and processes Experience managing the end-to-end ICT project lifecycle, from planning through to delivery and closure, in a complex and multi-stakeholder environment Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely within a team environment and leverage the expertise of ICT divisions A minimum of five years’ experience delivering ICT projects (Infrastructure experience preferred) A proactive and continuous learning mindset, with a willingness to contribute, share knowledge and support team capability uplift A solid understanding of the Project Manager role and the practical application of project management methodologies to deliver outcomes aligned to business objectives How to apply If this role sounds like you please click the apply now button and include a resume (max 5 pages) and cover letter (max 2 pages) Salary Grade 11/12, with the base salary for this role starting at $149,739 base plus superannuation Click Here to access the Role Description.
