Responsibilities

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. We have an opening for a Principal Scientist on our Large Molecule Discovery group, located at Amgen British Columbia. Our team specializes in the discovery of large molecules and the development of Predictive In vitro Biological Systems to evaluate the efficacy and safety of new candidate molecules.
You will lead translational efforts in protein design with a mission to eliminate or reduce immunogenicity in large molecule therapeutics. This pivotal role bridges experimental immunology and computational science to ensure novel biologics are safe and effective from the outset.

WHAT YOUR ROLE WILL BE

  • To embed with our wet-lab teams and lead communication and drive collaboration between the computational data sciences and laboratory research teams.
  • Leverage ground-breaking technologies to interrogate adaptive humoral and cellular immune responses
  • Design experiments to test and validate novel immunomodulatory methods and compounds
  • Develop strategies to direct the adaptive immune response towards desired outcomes
  • Collaborate with protein engineers to create, test and optimize novel molecule designs
  • Lead external collaborations with academic and industry partners to access emerging technologies in Immunoengineering and AI-driven protein design.
  • Monitor and evaluate scientific advances relevant to adaptive immunity and therapeutic engineering to inform strategic R&D decisions.
