We are looking for a Principal (Qualitative Research) to join our team in London. You will get to work on fabulously diverse, high pace and exciting consumer projects, engaging with a variety of categories such as snacks, drinks, etc.
You will have experience of adding value to individual research projects, making impactful contributions and end-to-end project ownership. You background would ideally be with a market research agency but we are flexible. You are a can-do and hands-on, with a real desire to learn, and to develop deeper and stronger research and consultancy skills.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE

  • Someone who is passionate about the consumer world and who has a real interest in FMCG brands and the challenges they face
  • A strategic thinker - we need people who are energised by the commercial implications of the research, not just the research itself
  • Excellent communication and story-telling capabilities, both verbal and written
  • Ability to build trust and rapport, with the ability to get people talking about anything and everything
  • A robust qualitative skill set - comfortable with online and offline qualitative approaches
  • Appetite for facilitating workshops with senior stakeholders
  • A strong track record of growing accounts over time, through a mix of great work development of strong relationships with your clients
  • Strong organisational and project management skills
Responsibilities

As a Principal, you will have a leading role in both the delivery of client projects and the development of client accounts, alongside inspiring and guiding other team members to deliver great work. You will take a strong interest in the wider research and consultancy world, constantly looking to improve our offer and delivery to clients. The role will include:

  • Taking a leading role on projects - ensuring you take the appropriate role on each project, allowing room for others to develop and shine whilst ensuring the highest quality outcome for the client
  • Involvement at all stages of the project from interrogation of the brief, to design of the solution, analysis and insight generation, creation of impactful outputs and taking part in workshops, debriefs etc
  • Leading existing clients’ accounts by managing client’s relationships and developing new business opportunities with these clients
  • Responsibility for development of people as part of a project team - giving feedback, identifying opportunities for Associates or less experienced Principals to develop
