We’re currently looking for a Principal – Infrastructure Investor Advisory to join our growing Investment & Transactions team. This is a senior advisory role for someone who thrives at the intersection of technical excellence, commercial judgement and client leadership, and who wants to play a defining role in major infrastructure investment decisions across Australia. The opportunity In this role, you’ll act as a trusted technical advisor to infrastructure investors, lenders, asset owners and operators, leading complex buy‑side and sell‑side technical due diligence and transaction advisory engagements. You’ll bring together multidisciplinary teams, apply structured, risk‑based thinking, and translate complex technical insights into clear, investment‑grade advice that supports confident decision‑making. You will also play a key role in growing WSP’s investor advisory offering - shaping pursuits, building long‑term client relationships, and contributing to our reputation as a market‑leading advisory partner. What you’ll be doing * Leading technical due diligence and independent reviews for infrastructure investments across the transaction lifecycle * Acting as the primary technical interface for investor clients, presenting findings clearly to non‑technical stakeholders * Providing senior technical judgement on asset risk, performance, compliance and ESG considerations * Managing end‑to‑end delivery of advisory engagements — scope, programme, budget and quality * Contributing to strategic pursuits, proposals and market positioning, including thought leadership * Mentoring and supporting the development of junior team members * Representing WSP at industry events and strengthening our market presence About you You’re a senior professional with strong infrastructure credentials and a clear understanding of how technical risk influences investment value. You’re comfortable operating in fast‑paced transaction environments and are known for your judgement, clarity and professionalism. You’ll bring: * Substantial experience in infrastructure, engineering, finance or technical advisory/consulting * Proven experience leading buy‑side and/or sell‑side technical due diligence for infrastructure assets * Strong commercial and transaction awareness, with exposure to investor or lender decision‑making * The ability to synthesise complex technical information into clear, decision‑ready advice * Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging senior stakeholders * A collaborative mindset and a genuine interest in developing others * Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Finance, Commerce or a related field are required, with postgraduate qualifications regarded favourably.
