BDS M&PT is seeking a high performing, collaborative Principal Materials and Processes Electrical Component Engineer that provides support for a wide variety of space programs at Boeing in El Segundo, California. Our teams are currently hiring for a senior-level engineer.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 10+ years of Parts, Materials & Process experience
  • Experience in component commodities (passives, actives, RF devices)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Master’s Degree in Electrical engineering, Mechanical engineering or Physics

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Required

Responsibilities
  • Collects information to support definition of requirements for EEE parts, materials and processes used in the manufacture and engineering design of satellite and aerospace products
  • Incorporates changes to specifications and other documents to manage the deployment of materials, parts and processes
  • Performs tests to qualify new EEE parts and processes to meet requirements
  • Assists with activities to qualify suppliers to applicable requirements
  • Conducts analysis to determine performance or reasons for failures of EEE parts or processes
  • Assists in implementing corrective and preventive actions
  • Develops production systems to satisfy user requirements
  • Uses project management tools to meet cost, technical, and schedule requirements
  • Incorporates environmental health and safety, LEAN and Quality principles into (1) materials and processes, (2) research, design and qualification, (3) work procedures and (4) labs and office areas
    This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret / SCI Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
