WHAT YOU’LL DO

Develop, test, and certify Layer 1-4 technologies on multiple vendor hardware and software platforms based on customized or generic designs and network APIs. Identify and define software and hardware problems and develop viable solutions and alternatives. Use system utilities and automation to effectively resolve hardware and software problems, on occasion leveraging AI, GenAI and ML capabilities. Work closely with Hardware and Software vendor(s) to identify and fix bugs and perform detail root cause analysis and bug validation in certification lab environment. Possessing networking and API experience in a hyperscaler environment may be beneficial in this role. Provide ongoing support to operation partners, actively collaborating with Operations to replicate an issue in the lab, being actively involved and working with vendors to get fixes for production issues.

Typical duties may include but are not limited to:

• Designing, testing, identifying network design, network element and/or element management system issues
• Troubleshooting and resolving system hardware and software issues
• Installing, configuring, testing, troubleshooting, administering, monitoring, and maintaining various Network Operating Systems, associated software, virtual management systems, servers, networking, clustering, storage, and software applications for Architectures supporting a variety of virtualization technologies
• Develop and maintain test automation framework using Python, Ansible, Jenkins, InfluxDB and Grafana
• Develop, test and support network APIs (e.g., between network elements; network elements and element/network management system(s); etc.)
• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, secure, and scalable APIs for service provider applications.
• Diagnose, analyze, and resolve complex API issues across multiple environments through proactive monitoring of performance, error rates, and usage patterns to quickly identify and address potential problems.
• Lead API architecture discussions, driving standards and best practices for design, documentation, and implementation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including front-end, back-end, QA, and DevOps, to deliver seamless API integrations and solutions.
• Ensure API security and compliance with industry standards
• Automate test cases, inventory, and monitoring for various Networks Core, Cloud, Edge and Control plane projects.
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to identify and prioritize test cases for automation. Monitor test results, analyze failures, and report issues using Jira.
• Contribute to full stack development projects as needed. Integrate and utilize APIs for testing and automation purposes
