About the Role The Principal, N‑Tier Management role sits within the Global CMO Procurement organisation and reports to the Director, CMO Procurement Tail, N‑Tier & Market Insights. This role is responsible for developing and executing strategies for managing N‑tier suppliers within the contract manufacturing ecosystem. It ensures strong alignment between Global Material Category strategies and regional/global Contract Manufacturing Organisation (CMO) procurement strategies, driving value across the extended supply chain. The role leverages N‑tier supplier networks to optimise cost, quality, supply continuity, sustainability, risk management and complexity reduction across outsourced manufacturing operations. Role Responsibilities N‑Tier Supplier Strategy Develop and implement N‑tier supplier transparency and management frameworks across the contract manufacturing ecosystem Partner with Global Material Category teams to define and embed N‑tier supplier strategies supporting outsourced operations Map and monitor the extended supplier ecosystem to increase visibility beyond Tier‑1 suppliers Identify strategic N‑tier suppliers critical to cost structure, technology capability, supply resilience and sustainability goals Regional Alignment & Execution Partner with Regional Procurement CMO Leads to integrate N‑tier strategies into regional sourcing and supplier management activities Enable regional teams to leverage N‑tier relationships to strengthen negotiation outcomes and supplier performance Value Creation & Performance Drive value across the N‑tier supply base, including: Cost competitiveness Quality and compliance Supply reliability and resilience Sustainability performance Operational efficiency Identify opportunities to reduce complexity and consolidate suppliers across the extended supply chain Promote best practices and digital tools to improve N‑tier visibility, analytics and decision‑making Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supplier network efficiency and long‑term resilience Risk & Supply Chain Transparency Increase transparency across the N‑tier network to proactively manage supply risks Monitor geopolitical, operational, financial and sustainability risks within the extended supply base Support mitigation strategies for critical materials and components Collaboration & Governance Facilitate cross‑functional collaboration across procurement, supply chain, quality, sustainability and external manufacturing partners Establish governance frameworks to monitor N‑tier supplier performance and compliance Basic Skills Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business or a related discipline (or equivalent experience) 12+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain management or supplier relationship management Experience working with contract manufacturing organisations and outsourced operations Strong understanding of multi‑tier supply chain structures and supplier ecosystems Proven experience in procurement strategy development, supplier performance management and contract negotiation Strong analytical, negotiation and stakeholder management skills Ability to manage complex, cross‑functional and global/matrix stakeholder environments Experience working in GMP‑regulated environments (OTC, healthcare, FMCG) Preferred Skills Master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement or a related field Strong understanding of sustainability, ESG and responsible sourcing practices Demonstrated success balancing cost, quality, service and risk across extended supply chains Strategic thinker with strong execution capability and a results‑oriented mindset Comfortable operating in ambiguity with agility and adaptability to changing priorities Collaborative and inclusive leadership style with strong relationship‑building capability Passion for quality, innovation, operational excellence and sustainability Job Posting End Date 2026-06-10 Equal Opportunities Haleon are committed to mobilising our purpose in a way that represents the diverse consumers and communities who rely on our brands every day.
