Benefits: Competitive salary Opportunity for advancement Training & development Role: Principal Network Infrastructure Engineer Location: Carlsbad, CA (Onsite) We are seeking a Principal Network Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and support a high-performance, low-latency global network. This role is critical to ensuring resilient connectivity, strong security, and maximum uptime for online services and corporate systems in a distributed environment. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain global WAN, LAN, and data center network architecture. Optimize network performance for latency-sensitive production environments. Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP. Manage and harden firewalls and security appliances such as Palo Alto and Cisco ASA. Lead network incident response, conduct root cause analysis, and drive permanent corrective actions. Support hybrid cloud networking, including AWS VPC, Direct Connect, and VPN connectivity. Implement redundancy and failover strategies (e.g., HSRP, VRRP) to ensure high availability. Evaluate, recommend, and implement SD-WAN solutions to improve resiliency and operational efficiency. Required Qualifications 8–12 years of network engineering experience in enterprise or large-scale environments. Strong expertise in routing/switching, network architecture, and hands-on troubleshooting. Experience with Cisco, Juniper, and Palo Alto technologies in production environments. Cloud networking experience, with AWS preferred (VPC design, connectivity, routing, security). Familiarity with load balancing solutions (e.g., F5) is a plus. Proven experience operating in high-availability, global environments with strong reliability expectations.
