Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and articulate a clear vision and mission for the school, ensuring alignment with organizational values and strategic priorities.
  • Lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of a rigorous and inclusive curriculum that adheres to international standards and best practices.
  • Set and uphold high expectations for academic achievement, personal growth, and well-being, ensuring differentiated support for diverse learners.
  • Monitor key performance indicators, including enrollment trends, academic results, and stakeholder satisfaction, implementing strategic initiatives to achieve objectives.
  • Attract, develop, and retain a team of highly skilled educators and support staff committed to excellence.
  • Foster a professional culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning, ensuring the delivery of outstanding teaching and support.
  • Ensure full compliance with local regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.
  • Serve as a proactive ambassador for the school, fostering partnerships with local organizations and global communities to enrich the school’s programs and reputation.
  • Establish and maintain a robust framework for safeguarding, prioritizing the safety and well-being of all students and staff.
  • Promote a culture of inclusivity, empathy, and respect, ensuring the school remains a supportive and welcoming environment.
  • Mentor and support staff in achieving their professional goals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and career progression.
  • Identify and nurture leadership potential within the team, providing opportunities for growth through delegation, training, and coaching.
  • Design and implement professional development programs aligned with school objectives and staff needs to enhance pedagogical skills, leadership capacity, and overall effectiveness.
  • Encourage collaboration and knowledge-sharing among staff to drive innovation and improve student outcomes

Role requirements:

  • Hold a BEd or Bachelors degree with PGCE / PGDE or equivalent. A relevant Masters qualification is preferred.
  • Evidence of ongoing personal professional development and experience in developing others through mentoring or coaching.
  • At least 3 years’ experience of middle/senior leadership with a curriculum/L&T element.
  • Experience in leading quality assurance and improvement processes, curriculum innovation, and change.
  • A successful track record of planning, implementing, and managing change.
  • Experience in working in an international setting, with thorough knowledge and understanding of the inspection frameworks and implementation of national education agendas.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to adapt to situations and carefully manage professional relationships.
  • A clear drive and motivation for all students to achieve and exceed their potential.
  • Show a keen interest in using technology to enhance individual and team performance.
  • Have a willingness to collaborate and share their outstanding practice.
  • Have a growth mindset, whereby they are reflective and solution focused.
  • Be creative and enthusiastic in their approach to teaching and leadership.
  • Have a proven track record of providing outstanding learning & teaching.
