A Day in the Life As Principal PD Project Management Specialist will work closely with the cross-functional project teams in MEIC and GBUs, you will lead Medium to high complexity breakthrough Software development projects through existing products improvements or new features implementation. This position combines the strategic oversight of program management with hands-on Agile facilitation. Also, it will play a vital role in growing business engagements & enabling value add through process improvements and adopting best practices. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned. Seasoned Scrum Master with Program Management experience. Act as the leader of the project team, driving end-to-end execution and accountability. Develop and execute comprehensive project and engagement plans, including detailed schedules, budgets, and resource allocations. Facilitate the development of well-functioning Agile teams through Scrum ceremonies, backlog refinement, risk identification, and cross-team communication. Guide Scrum teams on Agile practices while aligning with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), release management, and regulatory or quality requirements. Understand and incorporate engineering practices (e.g., coding standards, testing practices, continuous integration, and deployment) into Agile processes to ensure high-quality deliverables. Use empirical data to assess Scrum maturity and team velocity, identify areas for improvement, and drive performance toward organizational KPIs. Remove systemic impediments to agility and provide guidance on escalation processes to avoid blockers. Foster a transparent, collaborative, and results-oriented team culture that promotes ownership and accountability. Ensure compliance with design control and quality system requirements. Define project resource needs and coordinate assignments in collaboration with functional managers. Plan, track, and communicate project progress, risks, and changes to stakeholders and executive leadership. Develop and maintain risk mitigation plans to ensure the timely delivery of business objectives. Challenge functional teams to meet or exceed project goals and delivery commitments. Provide routine updates and clear status reports to project teams, leadership, and stakeholders across MEIC and Global Business Units. Required Knowledge and Experience: Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related Engineering field with 15 years of relevant experience with 5+ years in a project leadership role. PMP certification & Certified ScrumMaster Hands-on experience in Agile methodology is essential. Good to have project experience in an enterprise software development project / mobile application Nice to Have: Familiarity with FDA Quality System Regulations (820.30 design controls), European Regulatory Requirements (ISO 13485), and specifically IEC-62304. Project management skills Track record of managing projects to schedule, Budget and scope Knowledge about burn down and burnup metrics, velocity, and user stories etc. Good hands-on experience using Project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Visio, Jira, Confluence) Experience with industry-standard Project Management methodologies, frameworks (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, or SDLC), and processes Excellent interpersonal and influence management skills, including evidence of managing multi-disciplinary teams Ability to effectively handle conflict through proactive action, and direct and timely communication Experience in managing teams with a diverse cultural background Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills Ensure that the Project Design History File is current and accurate and manage documentation and communication needs for the project, ensuring all regulatory standards are met (e.g. project SharePoint). Support Core Team meetings by preparing the agenda, project updates, and taking meeting minutes.
