Then you would enjoy working with the People PMO team at Pega. The People PMO Team provides critical support to People Team in order to manage projects, programs, processes and associated change.

PICTURE YOURSELF AT PEGA:

We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Principal Project Manager to join our People Team PMO. This role will focus on optimizing and managing cyclical People Team processes such as Compensation Planning and Talent Cultivation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cross functional project planning and execution, process mapping, stakeholder engagement, and change management, particularly in partnership with IT and other business units. This person is a systems-thinker with a passion for process improvement and has a collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Manage multiple concurrent projects across the People Team, ensuring timely delivery, stakeholder alignment, and measurable outcomes
  • Own planning, calendar, and execution of critical cyclic processes such as annual and mid year compensation planning and talent cultivation cycles.
  • Create and maintain project plans, timelines, and status reports using project management tools (e.g., Roadmaps, Jira, Excel)
  • Continuously review and optimize process touchpoints, leveraging data insights and stakeholder feedback to improve outcomes and user experience.
  • Ensure processes are scalable, compliant, and aligned with current business needs and future growth.
  • Facilitate regular check-ins and retrospectives to drive continuous improvement

Process Design & Optimization

  • Develop end-to-end process mapping for key People Team workflows, identifying inefficiencies and opportunities for automation or improvement
  • Develop and maintain documentation for cyclical processes such as compensation planning and talent cultivation cycles
  • Implement scalable solutions that align with organizational goals and compliance requirements

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Partner closely with IT to implement and maintain systems that support People processes
  • Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and other business units to ensure alignment and compliance across initiatives
  • Serve as a liaison between People Team subject matter experts and technical teams to translate business needs into system requirements

Change Management and Communication

  • Design and implement change management strategies to support the adoption of new processes, programs, and technologies.
  • Develop tailored communication plans, training materials, and resources to drive awareness, adoption, and sustained change.
  • Serve as a culture champion, modeling adaptability and fostering a growth mindset across the organization.
