Description

Petrofac is seeking a Piping Engineer 2- Contractor for 6 months based in Aberdeen, UK.

Responsibilities

The scope of services will be reviewed should there be a significant change to client support requirements.
Scope of Services:

Services to be supported during the duration of the contract are detailed below. A requirement to undertake additional services shall be mutually agreed by way of contract amendment:

  • Ensure compliance of all piping work executed with company, industry and international engineering procedures, codes and standards
  • Keep up to date with technical developments, national and international standards and legislative requirements
  • Ensure the production of cost-effective designs that are fit for purpose and do not compromise safety or quality
  • Liaise with Procurement, QA/QC Inspection, Document Control in delivery of all piping materials and design deliverables.
  • Ensure that all piping work complies with project and Petrofac health, safety, environmental and quality policies and procedures
  • Ensure that any project change/organic growth is closely managed in line with company/client Management of Change procedure
  • Provide piping engineering technical support to and implement instructions from the Project Manager.
  • Provide piping technical expertise in the development of engineering design deliverables & calculations.
  • Provide technical expertise during the development Initiation, FEED, Detail, Implementation Execution phases.
  • Respond and assist in piping technical queries to ensure resolution to the satisfaction of the Technical Authority.
  • Participation in Hazop, Hazid and design reviews ensuring the piping engineering support provided satisfies the appropriate Asset Safety Case and that the Prevention of Fire and Explosion, Emergency Response (PFEER).
  • Liaise with other disciplines in the execution of the work and perform Interdisciplinary approval & checking of documents where applicable.
  • Attendance at project / vendor kick-off meetings
  • Provide input to progress and planning meetings
  • Identification of increase or reduction in scope, raising the necessary support documents for Project Control Purposes
  • Review of job progress and cost reports regarding piping engineering activities.
  • Ensure that all piping engineering work is carried out in accordance with asset priorities and schedules as set out in the integrated plan
  • Provide Engineering Input to Estimates for project and vendor work scopes
  • Approval of below listed engineering deliverables
  • Responsible as a member of the project team for achieving the project target and completion of the project within the budget and schedule
