Responsibilities
  1. Manage and participate in the delivery of a plant disease diagnostic and assessment service and provide advice on disease control.
  2. Develop and direct a program of plant disease management research to minimise impacts to industry whilst enhancing market access.
  3. Provide professional advice on plant pathology matters to contribute to the formulation of government policies and maintain an
    extension program to communicate disease management technology and issues to industry and the public.
  4. Support emergency disease and pest responses in the Northern Territory though provision of expertise, including diagnostics and
    pathogenicity testing.
  5. Provide effective leadership and resource management of the Plant Pathology Unit and as a member of the management team,
    contribute to the delivery of the core business of Diagnostic Services across the disciplines of Entomology and Plant Pathology.
