About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a highly skilled platform architect that will serve as a technical leader in designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise platform architectures with a focus on OpenShift, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform for Enterprise Functions Technologies (EFT).

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 7+ years of Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 6+ years of experience in cloud architecture, with at least 5 years specializing in OCP/Azure/GCP
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in designing and deploying scalable, secure environments using OCP/Azure/GCP services
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with automation tools such as Terraform, PowerShell, Helm Charts, Azure Blueprints, and GCP Cloud Deployment Manager.
  • 3+ years of experience deploying architecture solutions into container/cloud environments via CI/CD pipelines
  • 3+ years of experience with architecture diagramming tools (e.g., Visio, LucidChart, Miro, etc.)

Desired Qualifications:

  • Google Professional Cloud Architect/Azure Solutions Architect/Red Hat Certified OpenShift Architect certification desired.
  • Proven experience in the design, deployment, and management of large-scale container/cloud solutions (preferably in financial services environments)
  • Strong understanding of container/cloud security principles including encryption and identity, networking policies, and access management. Exposure to container/cloud governance and logging/monitoring tooling. Understanding, engineering and implementing disaster recovery and business continuity playbooks
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.

  • Collaborate with IT teams, business stakeholders, and vendors to define and implement hybrid and multicloud strategies.
  • Implement best practices for platform security, governance, and compliance, ensuring adherence to industry regulations and security frameworks.
  • Drive the adoption of automation and DevOps methodologies for continuous integration/continuous deployment including the implementation of Infrastructure-as-Code. •
  • Optimize workloads across platforms for performance, availability, and cost efficiency. Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to platform engineers and development teams.
  • Stay up to date with emerging container and cloud technologies and trends and help guide adoption of their use within EFT.
  • Ensure platform designs meet disaster recovery and business continuity requirements while providing playbooks on how to execute against the design expectations.
