Description:
Lorien Engineering specialises in engineering design, project management and technical consulting for Clients in the food, brewing, drinks, life sciences and advanced technology sectors. We are a division of GP Strategies Ltd., part of a global engineering & technical services organisation.
Responsibilities:
ROLE SUMMARY
Undertaking role of subject matter expert with significant knowledge and experience of process systems.
Managing all phases of technical process projects.
Assist in the overall development of the Lorien process team, including the mentoring of junior / graduate Engineers.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Take a prominent role in the consultative selling and promotion of Lorien services.
Design of process systems - P&ID’s, utilisation calculations, mass & energy balances, equipment sizing calculations, pressure drop calculations, HAZOP.
Carry out concept, feasibility and design studies to meet Client’s Capex plans.
Identify process improvements or changes to Client’s existing processes and provide tailored engineering solutions incorporating an appropriate blend of innovation and practicality.
Ensuring project deliverables are met - prepare comprehensive engineering specifications and technical documentation, including scope of works incorporating measurable performance requirements.
Ensure projects are implemented and delivered from initial conception through to installation, commissioning and final handover.
Responsibility for equipment supplier selection, expediting equipment, pre-delivery inspection and testing.
Site Management – at the appropriate time in the project the engineer’s duties will require them to be site based and carry out the management / coordination of suppliers during the installation / commissioning phase of the project.
Lorien profitability – control of budget, schedule, man hours and expenses.
