Principal Process Engineer, Water
We support water customers across Australia to provide our communities with the best drinking water and wastewater treatment services, whilst innovating ways to safeguard and secure our country’s water supplies, elevating public spaces and enhancing livability.
The Opportunity
You’ll be a key member of our Water team who have secured projects that will change the way NSW operates forever. We are providing a more efficient and integrated water system to cater to the growth of NSW and maintain and enhance outstanding environmental outcomes. Our Water team offers services across the full water cycle, delivering major pipelines, large pumping stations, advanced water, wastewater and recycling treatment. In this role you will also support our hydrogen, ammonia and inorganics businesses.
We address critical water cycle challenges and provide solutions through adopting flexible program delivery models and ongoing asset management programs. KBR have significant work in hand supporting key water utilities such as Sydney Water, Water NSW, Sydney Desalination Plant, SA Water, Urban Utilities and Melbourne Water to achieve phased savings in capital expenditure, while delivering the best environmental and community outcomes.
You will play a vital role in the water team, leading projects, mentoring people, providing technical oversight, managing client relationships and commercial
direction. Our team is also exploring new ways to integrate virtual reality and artificial intelligence on projects, offering you the opportunity to future proof and broaden your skills in the digital sphere.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the design of large water and wastewater treatment plants
  • Lead investigations, and preparation of technical reports, designs and drawings, contract documents and technical specifications
  • Lead the preparation of large and small bids
  • Provide guidance to process engineers across the company
  • Responsibility for maintaining relationship with clients
  • Assisting the Industry Leads in business strategy development
  • Promote and practice KBR’s Zero Harm policy
