JOB DESCRIPTION:

Pull up a chair and join us!! The Hearthstone team is looking for a Principal Producer to join our ranks! We have a ton of stuff in the works, and we need your help to stay focused, organized and to set up new pipelines! We value diverse voices and varied backgrounds and we’re looking for individuals to help us build fun, compelling, and inviting experiences for Hearthstone. Previous experience as a Hearthstone player is not a requirement for this role, however it is a plus.
This role is anticipated to be a hybrid work position, with some work on-site and some work-from-home. The potential home studio for this position is Irvine, CA.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 10+ years of experience working on live software or game in production, operations, or project management capacity
  • Experience setting up pipelines and processes for a quickly expanding team
  • Strong foundation of software development and project management methodologies
  • Ability to build, track, and maintain complex roadmaps and schedules
  • History of delivering in a fast-paced software delivery pipeline
  • Highly self-motivated and accountable
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Responsibilities
  • Build, prioritize, and maintain the team’s backlog and roadmap based on input from the team, leadership, and stakeholders
  • Drive the creation of content systems for our game, including core gameplay and art systems
  • Work daily with your team that includes Designers, Engineers, Artists, and QA Testers to bring new features to life for our players. This means running meetings, planning for team capacity, managing tasks, fostering team health, creating documentation, and removing obstacles
  • Network and collaborate with other teams to co-build features and content
  • Represent the development team in publishing, commercial, customer support, and platform planning discussions
  • Identify risks, plan for mitigations, and communicate ongoing status on projects
  • Promote, contribute to, and participate in a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • As a principal producer you’ll be expected to take on mentees from time to time as well as contribute back to the production discipline and process within the team
