Job Details Position Title: Principal Product Analyst Career Level: P4 Job Category: Role Type: Full Time Shift Timings: 3.30 PM - 12.30 AM Job Location: IND, Bengaluru, Hybrid About the Team: The position is for Credit Systems Team within CA & I (Credit Administration & Infrastructure) group under Credit Risk Area. Credit Systems team is responsible for Product Management of Applications in Credit Risk area. The team partners closely with business, technology providing solutions to stakeholders by building and managing applications catering to Portfolio Management, Credit Risk System & Analytics, Commercial Finance and Credit Reporting Infrastructure. Impact This position will partner with stakeholders to identify business requirements, gaps in existing capabilities and defines opportunities to build products based on current and future application platforms that improve the business processes and accelerate critical business strategies. This role will be responsible for synthesizing requirements from the stakeholder into prioritized user stories, approving features that are in alignment with agreed upon acceptance criteria and providing feedback to the team with a strong decision-making mindset. This role will drive product delivery from inception until the solution enters production while also participating in standard Agile activities including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives. Will assist in special projects as needed. Key Deliverables Data Analysis - Sources, compiles, and interprets data. Performs advanced data analysis to identify needs and prioritize features for Credit products. Operational Support - Provides support for business operations by responding to inquiries, identifying issues, and working to improve team practices. Assists in streamlining daily sprint backlog for overall unit, resolving escalated matters where possible. Implements recommended modifications and enhancements. Identifying Objectives - Determines business needs and prioritizes features by gathering user needs, analyzing business impact, and performing feasibility analysis. Develops strategies to achieve company and department goals, and communicates these through the use of specifications, backlogs, or other forms of documentation. Reporting - Produces status reports based on data analysis, sprint progress and process capabilities. Conveys patterns, problems, and areas of improvement. May develop process enhancements based on reporting. Be a liaison for credit administration as it relates to overall credit application with our stakeholders including Technology, Data team IT, credit reporting and other teams Develop and translate our high-level strategic vision into product roadmaps Understand user needs, identify the problem, and market opportunity, ideate solutions, prototype, and validate hypotheses. Skills and Qualification 13+ years of Product management experience in managing cross-functional business systems initiatives/projects with a broad knowledge of the financial services systems. Possess a strong product management background, be steeped in Design Thinking, Lean UX, and agile delivery methodologies, and have a data-driven approach to decision making. Prior experience in developing credit systems and the technology infrastructure. Ability to collaborate with developers and data engineers to define the technology infrastructure and data architecture. MBA in Finance, from a reputed institute. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or quantitative discipline, such as economics, finance, mathematics, or statistics Strong initiative, intellectual curiosity, ownership, and attention to detail Strong technical skills with a business acumen and ability to work across the organization to develop solutions to complex problems Strong understanding and working experience with design-thinking best practices to deliver industry-defining digital products and experiences Agile experience is mandatory Functional Skills: Excellent interpersonal, communication, writing, and presentation skills (both written and verbal). High Emotional Intelligence with ability to work with people across multiple work-streams in a high stake environment. Patience and composure in Stressful Scenarios Ability to think critically. Training and coaching of others Focused on client experience Technical Skills: Understanding of Data warehousing and transformation methods, lineage documentation, ETL processes, Knowledge of data spreadsheets and databases, Data Analysis, Data Quality, Data Governance, Metadata management, Data Profiling, Data mapping, Data validation, Business Analytics, BI reporting, SQL queries Knowledge of data related government regulatory requirements and emerging trends and issues Strong analytical and problem-solving skills coupled with thoroughness and attention to detail is mandatory. Relevant Experience, Certifications, in multiple domain areas, such as data warehousing, business intelligence (BI), data architecture, data integration. Hands on Experience, Certifications, around Microsoft Power Products, Tableau, Salesforce, Appian is mandatory. Experience with databases, SQL querying is mandatory. Knowledge with programming languages such as Python is a must. Relationships & Collaboration Deep collaboration within the Credit Systems teams as well as with cross functional teams. Ability to communicate Product at an appropriate level for the audience. Excellent interpersonal skills – including written and oral communication. Mentor Junior team members on the team.
