Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting into the VP of Product, this role will assume leadership of the design capabilities across our Frontier platform, with a key focus on embedding design systems and implementing a design-centric approach to our product development.
You will take a lead role in shaping and executing on the design strategy for Frontier. This role will see you apply design-led thinking to both technical and non-technical personas, as we help some of the world’s largest organisations improve the speed and quality of their decision-making processes with Frontier. As well as strategy and hands-on delivery of product design, this role will also see you acting as a leader within the design team; contributing to product strategy, setting direction and standards for design practices on Frontier, and coaching and supporting other Designers.
The role will be highly collaborative - working closely with our product team, solution engineers, sales engineers and wider organisation to move the culture of our product to a genuinely design-centric one.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Build, set and communicate the design vision and strategy for Frontier, aligned with Frontier brand values.
  • Ensure that design work maintains a high level of creativity and quality.
  • Building a high performing design team; developing team members.
  • Oversee the creation and implementation of design assets including UI/UX, illustrations and relevant visual elements.
  • Ensure consistency of visual identity and brand alignment.
  • Work closely with product squads to integrate design into the development lifecycle.
  • Be an advocate for user-centric design, championing best practices across UI/UX design
  • Ensure that products are user-friendly and rooted in user feedback while designed around specific personas.
  • Stay abreast of industry and market trends; encourage experimentation and innovation
  • Contribute to sales assets representing the value of the product.
  • Ensure that Frontier establishes and aligns with a design system across all products.
