We are on the lookout for an experienced Principal Product Designer to help shape world-class digital experiences that delight our customers. As a player-coach, you will not only take the lead on detailed design work but also guide, mentor, and inspire your fellow designers to achieve their best work. With extensive expertise in digital design, particularly in simplifying and optimizing complex experiences for mobile, you’ll help deliver impactful user-centric solutions. • Visual and Interaction Design Mastery: You excel at both visual design and interaction design, creating intuitive, aesthetically pleasing experiences that are seamless and on-brand. Your designs are not just functional, but also delight users at every step.
• Prototyping Expert: Your passion for prototyping shines through as you create high-fidelity, interactive prototypes that bring designs to life. Your attention to detail ensures that users have a tactile, immersive experience—especially on mobile platforms.
• Quality-Driven: You have an unwavering commitment to quality. You constantly seek ways to improve the user experience, setting and raising the bar for your designs and the entire team’s work.

• Extensive experience in product design, with a strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end design work across mobile and web platforms.
• Expertise in designing intuitive, engaging, and visually appealing user experiences.
• Strong prototyping and interaction design skills, with proficiency in tools such as Figma.
• A deep understanding of user-centered design principles, usability, and accessibility.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills.

The compensation package for this role is based on multiple factors, such as job level, responsibilities, location, and candidate experience. The base pay ranges included below are specific to the locations listed, and may not be applicable to other locations.
California : [$134,750 - $190,750]
Connecticut and New York: [$134,750 - $174,750]
Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota and Washington: [$134,750 - $161,750]
Nevada: [$126,750 - $174,750]
Maryland and New Jersey: [$145,500 - $174,750]
Hawaii : [$126,750 - $152,000]

This opportunity can be remote, but candidates must reside in a state in which Shutterfly is registered to do business. This includes all US states except District of Columbia, North Dakota, Mississippi, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Wyoming.
