This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Principal Product Manager – Security & Compliance Marketplace in the United States. This role provides an exciting opportunity to lead the development and growth of a security and compliance marketplace for SMB merchants. As the Principal Product Manager, you will define product strategy, manage vendor relationships, and deliver integrated solutions that help small businesses navigate complex security and compliance challenges. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams—including engineering, design, sales, and marketing—to create a comprehensive platform that drives revenue growth, enhances customer trust, and addresses emerging security risks. This position blends product leadership, strategic planning, and hands-on execution in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You will oversee marketplace expansion, insurance product innovation, and platform performance while ensuring regulatory compliance. \n Accountabilities Define and execute the strategic roadmap for the security and compliance marketplace, aligning product vision with SMB merchant needs. Build and manage third-party vendor partnerships, including sourcing, contract negotiation, integration, and ongoing performance monitoring. Lead development and integration of innovative insurance products, such as parametric, breach, and PII coverage tailored for SMB merchants. Conduct customer research, gather feedback, and translate insights into actionable product requirements. Collaborate with engineering, design, marketing, and sales teams to ensure successful marketplace and product launches. Monitor competitive landscape, industry trends, and regulatory changes to inform product strategy and vendor selection. Optimize revenue models, pricing strategies, and marketplace performance metrics to drive business outcomes. Ensure compliance with relevant security standards, regulations, and risk management policies across all marketplace offerings. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred. 5–7+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years focused on security, compliance, or fintech products serving SMB markets. Proven experience building and managing marketplace platforms or multi-vendor ecosystems, including vendor sourcing, negotiation, and relationship management. Familiarity with PCI DSS, SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, GDPR, and CCPA compliance requirements. Experience with insurance products such as cyber or breach insurance, including product design, underwriting, and regulatory considerations. Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and business acumen to develop pricing models, revenue projections, and marketplace optimization plans. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex security concepts for non-technical audiences. Customer-centric mindset with experience gathering insights, conducting user research, and translating findings into actionable product plans. Entrepreneurial spirit, comfort with ambiguity, and ability to drive product and partnership initiatives from concept to execution.
