Description
Responsibilities
Lead, Develop, Coach and Mentor other Engineers.
Collaborate with Regional Engineering Directors, Sr. Regional Engineering Managers, Regional Engineering Managers, Project Managers and key stakeholders to ensure all project implementations are in line with business strategies and targets,
Provide technical leadership and recommendations based on the most state of the art functional tools and methodologies
Develop and Lead projects that meet business and segment objectives
Drive initiatives that shorten new product and project cycle times
Drive initiatives that improve implementation efficiencies as well as operational efficiencies
Establish key asset targets for segment and identify technology platforms that should be used in segment
Work with R&D and cross functional teams to establish design for manufacturing criteria in assigned segments
Drive lean ways of working in the engineering process and as a project deliverable
Drive decisions to improve business measurements such as ROTA, FATR etc.
Provide alternatives with value added engineering and lean design
Support the development of technology platforms
Drive to identify, protect and expand intellectual property of corporation
Contribute to the development of standards for equipment, systems and engineering processes
Develop external business relationships including construction contractors and engineering resources
Proactively develop practices and methodologies that increase the effectiveness and reduces the costs of engineering
