REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • 10+ years in radar system engineering and RF defense systems.
  • Expertise in digital signal processing (DSP), RF propagation, radar waveform design, and signal detection/tracking.
  • Proficiency with C/C++, CUDA, GPU programming, Verilog/VHDL, SPICE, and PCB layout.
  • Hands-on experience with DoD/ITAR compliance and secure radar development.
  • Knowledge of radar system integration, hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing, and field test execution.
  • Master’s or PhD in Electrical, Computer, or Aerospace Engineering preferred (Bachelor’s with strong experience considered).
  • U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a Secret or Top Secret clearance

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced Principal Radar Engineer to lead radar system design, RF engineering, and digital signal processing for advanced defense radar systems. This role is ideal for a senior radar systems engineer with hands-on expertise in RF electronics, radar hardware, and radar signal processing software

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the design, development, and integration of advanced radar systems for defense applications.
  • Oversee RF hardware design, integrated circuits (RFIC/ASIC), and radar antenna systems.
  • Develop real-time radar signal processing software in C++ and CUDA/GPU environments.
  • Perform RF calibration, reliability testing, and radar performance optimization.
  • Design ruggedized RF/digital electronics for field-deployed military radar systems.
  • Collaborate on command and control (C2) systems, data links, and radar tracking algorithms.
  • Use modeling, simulation, and analysis tools for radar range performance and RCS prediction.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across multidisciplinary projects.
