Are you an Allied Health professional with a passion for helping people navigate recovery and return to meaningful work?

Hays is partnering with a large local government organisation to recruit a Rehabilitation Consultant to join their workplace health and wellbeing team.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a collaborative environment, supporting employees through injury recovery, rehabilitation planning and return-to-work programs in a self-insured workers compensation setting.

What you'll be doing

Coordinate and oversee workplace rehabilitation and injury management activities
Support employees recovering from work-related and non-work-related injuries or illnesses
Develop tailored return-to-work and recovery plans
Collaborate with leaders, employees, treating health practitioners and key stakeholders
Provide guidance on workers compensation and rehabilitation best practice
Maintain accurate case records and reporting within relevant systems

What we're looking for

Tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Nursing, Exercise Physiology, Rehabilitation Counselling or a related Allied Health discipline
At least 2 years' experience in injury management, occupational rehabilitation or return-to-work case management
Understanding of Queensland workers compensation frameworks and rehabilitation processes
Strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills
Effective organisational skills with the ability to manage a diverse caseload
Confidence using case management systems and Microsoft Office applications
