Are you an Allied Health professional with a passion for helping people navigate recovery and return to meaningful work?

Hays is partnering with a large local government organisation to recruit a Rehabilitation Consultant to join their workplace health and wellbeing team.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a collaborative environment, supporting employees through injury recovery, rehabilitation planning and return-to-work programs in a self-insured workers compensation setting.

What you'll be doing

  • Coordinate and oversee workplace rehabilitation and injury management activities
  • Support employees recovering from work-related and non-work-related injuries or illnesses
  • Develop tailored return-to-work and recovery plans
  • Collaborate with leaders, employees, treating health practitioners and key stakeholders
  • Provide guidance on workers compensation and rehabilitation best practice
  • Maintain accurate case records and reporting within relevant systems


What we're looking for

  • Tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Nursing, Exercise Physiology, Rehabilitation Counselling or a related Allied Health discipline
  • At least 2 years' experience in injury management, occupational rehabilitation or return-to-work case management
  • Understanding of Queensland workers compensation frameworks and rehabilitation processes
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Effective organisational skills with the ability to manage a diverse caseload
  • Confidence using case management systems and Microsoft Office applications
