ABOUT THE ROLE
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Principal Mechanical Research Engineer to join the highly successful Motors and Power Systems team within the Research, Design and Development (RDD) department.
The team have been pioneers in the industry for more than 15 years, coming up with a range of very high speed, very power dense compressor motors that are highly efficient, cost-effective and robust. These motors are conceived in the UK and manufactured at Dyson’s state-of-the-art facilities in Singapore and Philippines.
Within this team the successful applicant will be principally working on the mechanical design of our Dyson Digital Motors (DDMs) and the integration of them into our products. Other areas of work include state-of-the-art electromechanical assemblies for applications such as advanced battery packs, heaters and actuators.
We are seeking candidates who are adept at both independent and collaborative work within multifunctional teams, showcasing exceptional team-working abilities. The ideal candidate should demonstrate adaptability and efficiency as a problem-solver, employing a flexible approach with meticulous attention to detail. Additionally, the ability to swiftly adapt to changing priorities and projects in dynamic research environments is highly valued.
