Our strategic research areas include the investigation of skin health & ageing, skin disease pathobiology and medical technologies & biophotonics. We seek an experienced scientist to develop research in the regenerative medicine space; experience of developmental biology and the use of in vivo model systems would be an advantage.
The successful candidate will be offered financial support, space, and resources in a stimulating and nurturing environment with access to state-of-the-art research facilities for a period of 3 years, in the first instance. Candidates must show exceptional promise to develop into world class researchers, strengthen key strategic research areas of ASRL, and build a portfolio of research funding, including competitive funding and industry interaction.
Job Description
Develop and run independent research programmes that enhance the research portfolio of ASRL, under the direction of the Executive Director and theme leads.
Drive own team’s experimental, resources, manpower and budget planning, oversee data analysis, manuscript preparation and grant applications.
Present research achievements at internal/external seminars and conferences.
Aggressively seek industry/clinical collaborative opportunities.
Job Requirements
PhD with minimum 10 years post-PhD research experience.
Proven experience in management of a team and experience in developing strategies, plans and grants writing.
Strong understanding of finance and key performance indicators.
Analytical mind for innovativeness and complex problem solving.
Excellent communication (oral and written) and public speaking skills.
