SHAPE THE FUTURE OF CNS DRUG DEVELOPMENT AT LUNDBECK

As Principal Scientist – in vitro Drug-Drug Interaction (DDI), you will play a key role in the evaluation and prediction of DDI risks for Lundbeck’s development compounds, ensuring safe and effective therapies reach patients. You will design, conduct, and interpret in vitro DDI studies, develop PBPK models, and guide decision-making in both preclinical and clinical development. This is a senior scientific position where you will influence Lundbeck’s innovative CNS pipeline and collaborate across functions to secure the highest scientific standards.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • PhD in biochemistry, pharmacy, chemical engineering, or similar experience.
  • Solid experience with major drug-metabolizing enzymes and drug transporters, including enzyme kinetics.
  • Hands-on experience with in vitro DDI assays and solid knowledge of LC-MS technology.
  • Proven track record in the design, execution, and interpretation of in vitro DDI studies.
  • In-depth knowledge of global regulatory guidelines (FDA, EMA, ICH) related to DDI assessment.
  • Industry experience in DDI and pharmacokinetics.
  • Strong communication skills and fluency in English.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES

  • Experience with PBPK modelling and simulation tools (e.g., Simcyp, GastroPlus).
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare regulatory documentation for submissions.
  • Scientific publications in the DDI or ADME field.
