Create your best future and join Westpac as a Principal Service Manager - Asset and Contract Management. What’s the role? This role is responsible for the renewal, execution, and cost allocation of asset management contracts, ensuring operational, commercial, financial, and risk-based objectives are met. The role partners with senior stakeholders to understand asset usage, licensing, and business requirements, ensuring these are reflected in contract execution and renewals so contracts are optimised and managed across their lifecycle. You will work closely with the Procurement team to ensure IT controls and sound commercial practices support all software deployed within Westpac. The role drives cost savings, risk reduction, and value realisation by optimising contracted assets, removing underutilised assets, and working with operational teams to maintain currency and consumption discipline. It also establishes clear ownership for each asset to enable accurate and transparent chargeback of spend through systems such as Apptio.     Your key responsibilities include: * Deliver Technology Asset Lifecycle Management (TALM) across software and hardware assets, including renewals, financial management, and support obligations. * Define and execute renewal strategies for asset contracts, including Strategic Contract Plans. * Manage cost attribution and financial processes for all assigned contracts and products. * Provide SME input into asset lifecycle risk management via the TASER system. * Act as the primary contact for managed contracts within an assigned CIO Tower. What do I need? * Proven experience across Software Asset Management and financial management. * 5 Years commercial or legal experience centred around technology. * Influencing and relationship management. * Strong negotiation and stakeholder management capability. * Clear understanding of Risk Management.
