Description

As a Principal Software Engineer, you’ll be a strategic member and play a leading role in a collaborative engineering organization responsible for design and delivery of cloud-based software that supports the operation and growth of the Signify Health business. In this visible role, you will leverage your experience to be an impact player to design, develop, and optimize Signify Health applications and cloud-based microservices; be an advocate for the use of modern software engineering best practices; and collaborate with architects and software engineers to introduce new technologies.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10+ years of software development and/or architecture experience in full-stack or backend domains.
  • Strong foundation in commercial software engineering: problem solving, data structures, algorithms, patterns, concurrency.
  • Experience as a principal developer that has shipped enterprise grade software using programming languages such as C#, Java, Kotlin, Golang, Javascript, Typescript.
  • Hands-on experience with asynchronous, event-based systems design and architecture using tools like MSMQ, Kafka, RabbitMQ.
  • Practical knowledge of Kubernetes microservice orchestration patterns.
  • Demonstrable development experience in Azure, AWS or GCP.
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of APM platforms such as New Relic, Data Dog, Splunk.
  • Healthcare technology experience.
  • Experience with agile methodologies
